Diesel EN590, also known as Euro 5/6 diesel, is a type of diesel fuel that meets specific European standards on emissions and performance. It is designed to be used in diesel engines in vehicles like cars, trucks, and buses. EN 590 Gas Oil is a 10 ppm (parts per million) sulphur content gas oil. It has a higher cetane number than A2 Class Gas Oil (another 10ppm sulphur content class of red diesel), making it better suited for internal combustion engines in off-road vehicles.

EN 590 is the current standard for all automotive diesel fuel and is popularly sold in many parts of the world.  It is available in Cost, Insurance & Freight (CIF) or Free on Board (FOB) in Houston, Fujairah, Rotterdam, Qingdao, and Singapore.

The Importance of EN590-10PPM Diesel

EN590-10PPM diesel is the industry standard for clean, efficient, and environmentally-friendly fuel. This specification ensures that the diesel you’re using meets strict quality and emissions standards, providing a range of benefits for your business.

Improved Engine Performance

EN590-10PPM diesel is formulated to burn more cleanly and efficiently, reducing engine wear and tear and improving overall performance. This can translate to increased power, better fuel economy, and longer engine life.

Reduced Emissions

The low-sulfur content of EN590-10PPM diesel helps to significantly reduce harmful emissions, making it a more environmentally-friendly choice for your operations. This can be especially important in areas with strict environmental regulations.

Enhanced Reliability

The consistent quality and purity of EN590-10PPM diesel helps to prevent fuel-related issues, such as clogged filters, injector fouling, and engine deposits. This can help to minimize downtime and ensure the reliable operation of your vehicles and equipment.

Plants & Humans

Plants and humans: our shared needs

We’ve discussed a lot of different ways of caring for indoor plants on our blog. From watering through semi-hydroponic methods to how you should properly clean your plants, the lessons have been expansive and we know it can be a lot of plant care knowledge to absorb.

Plant care doesn’t have to be so by the books all the time; sometimes it can simply come down to intuition and instinct. As we head into a long and cold winter and feel the power of seasonal affective disorder, it’s good to keep in mind that if our needs have changed, so have the needs of other living organisms around us. Yes, plants get SAD too.

In this blog, we’ll show plant parents that indoor plant maintenance can be very close to caring for your own needs as a human. Once you notice that plants and humans can be very similar in their shared needs, caring for plants becomes much easier.

Here are five basic needs that plants and humans have in common.

1  LIGHT

Sunlight for plants is essential to survival. Plants use photosynthesis to convert light, oxygen, and water into energy which they need to grow. And while humans will not necessarily wither away due to lack of exposure to the sun, it is essential for producing vitamin D in the body which promotes bone health and regulates other functions such as the immune system and cell growth.

In winter, as the sun becomes weaker and nighttime begins earlier, sometimes both humans and plants may need a little bit of a supplement. Consider extra light sources for plants or a SAD lamp for yourself

2   Air Tempeature & Circulation

Just as humans require comfortable temperatures to live in, plants do as well. Air temperature helps to regulate systems in both humans and plants and drastic changes to temperature can lead to ailments in both organisms. The ideal temperature for plant growth is usually around 21-24 C. Air circulation is also necessary to both humans and plants as it provides both with fresh oxygen, can change the temperature, and prevent too much moisture from sticking around.

3  Water

if your skin is feeling dry during the winter because of indoor heating, imagine how your plants must feel too.

Water is essential to keeping everything in our body running. From our hearts, to our lungs, our kidneys, to our brain; water is life. The next time you’re thinking of going away for a month and not watering your plants, think about what it would be like to go a few days without water. While we don’t share the same amount of need for water, in the end it is necessary to keep both humans and plants alive.

Water needs also don’t come down to just direct watering into soil or our mouths. It also means water in the air, humidity. Just as we find discomfort with too dry conditions or overly humid conditions, so do plants.

4  Nutrients

Vitamins, proteins, carbohydrates, plants need them as much as we do!

Just as humans need a good balance of nutrients to survive, so do plants. Plants absorb nutrients such as nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium through the soil they live in so it’s important that you choose the right soil and supplement their feeding during growing seasons with fertilizer.

5   Space

Have you ever left a plant to grow in a pot much too small for much too long? Doesn’t end well, does it? Plants use their roots to absorb nutrients, collect information, and communicate with the rest of the plant. When roots are neglected and left in spaces they cannot grow, it can lead to root rot, the halting of growth, and simply a sick and suffering plant. Imagine if your head was too small for your brain. Or if you were forced to wear the same t-shirt all through childhood, puberty, and adulthood. Not very comfortable, right?

In the end, it all comes down to empathy. Houseplants keep us happy and healthy – why shouldn’t we do the same for them? As a living creature on this earth, the changes in your self-care needs in the winter mean that your plants’ needs have changed as well. So if the heaters keep drying out your skin or the lack of sun exposure has you down, just remember that your plant probably feels it too.
